Brief Description:

The four star Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa, the only luxury hotel in North-Western Vietnam, opened in March 1998. Built as a traditional mountain chalet with accented wooden décor and a welcoming stone hearth fireplace, the Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa overhangs the village, blending perfectly with the natural surroundings. With its luxury dining and sleeping carriages, the Victoria Express Train is the ideal means of transportation to travel from Hanoi to Lao Cai (Sapa). The location and luxury services of the hotel have been carefully planned to allow guests to experience something different and unique, in close harmony with nature and with the local hill tribe people.
Leave the busy life behind to enjoy a nice walk in a quiet area. Inhabited by the Red Dao and Hmong peoples. This valley is quiet and non touristic which is quite different from Ta Phin or Muong Hoa valleys where the local peoples have changed much because of the strong influence of tourism

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1 : Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai

09:00  P.M Pick up at the lobby of the hotel in Hanoi transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai.
Accommodation: 4 berth soft sleeper train cabin.

Day 2: Lao Cai –  Sapa – Ban Khoang Village – Ta Giang Phinh Village (7km walking, 3-4 hour walking ) B,L,D

Upon on your arrival at the Lao Cai Train Station, you are picked up then transferred to Sapa by our driver for freshing up and breakfast. Met up by local guide and driver at 09:00 A.M for a short road transfer heading northwards of Sapa along national road 4C to O Quy Ho with several stops for magnificent landscapes of Fansipan, Sin Chai valley and especially amazing flower and vegetable farms . Then turn right to follow a narrow road for half an hour getting through the wild region with thick rain forest covering walled-up mountains, passing several waterfalls before arriving to Ban Khoang, a village of the Red Zao ethnic peoples who live their unique way of life and well maintain their traditional values. The village looks prosperous thanks to the combination of wet rice cultivation on the terraced fields with cardamom farming under the shade of trees in thick forest. Spend over an hour walking to explore this remote village for a brief understanding of local life. Leaving Ban Khoang and process along the road for about 8km to Ta Giang Phin valley inhabited by the Black Hmong who live in some small villages scattering along a peaceful stream. Enjoy an hour lunch break on the bank of a stream before walking along village path which connects village to village to witness daily activities of local life such as plough and harrow the fields, growing, harvesting or doing some house work. In leisure months men often gather to built new houses or repair parts of old ones while women stay home making their traditional costumes. The walk ends in mid afternoon, picked up for the road ride back to Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – Tour to Market – Lao cai – Night Train to Hanoi (B,L,D)

At 07:30 A.M, picking up by our local guide at the hotel for 3 hours driving to the Market
10:30 A.M , arriving at the market, take time to wander around the market, enjoy the atmosphere and have fun trying out your trading skills with the friendly local people.
12:30 P.M – 01:30 P.M, lunch time in your own.
02:30 P.M, visiting tribal nearby Village , where you can take a short walk around the village where Flower Hmong, Tay and Nung minorities live.
03:30  P.M, drive backto Lao cai Train Station
05:30 P.M, arrive at Lao cai Train Station where we will have dinner  before catching our night train to Hanoi at 09:00 P.M

Day 4: Hanoi Arrival

Arriving in Hanoi at 05:00 A.M, you are welcomed by our driver then transfer to the hotel. Ends the tour.
