Brief Description:

This family activity holiday in Vietnam offers the chance to explore this vibrant and friendly country and we’re sure it will delight you and stimulate your senses. Explore bustling Hanoi by cyclo, unwind as you cruise on a traditional junk through the network of islands and peaks in Halong Bay and watch fishermen go about their day. An overnight train journey on the famous Reunification Express takes you to the old imperial capital of Hue, set on the Perfume River. Visit the ancient trading town of Hoi An and enjoy white sand beaches. Cruise gently along the Mekong Delta with its floating markets and have a go at catching fish with the friendly locals.

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi arrival

Upon on your arrival at the airport, you are picked up then transferred to your hotel in the old quarter, check in the hotel then you are free at your leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi Ciy Tour (B,L)

Visit some of Hanoi’s fascinating sites, including the Temple of Literature. Then enjoy a cycle rickshaw tour through the Old Quarter and witness the hustle and bustle of this charming town and its maze of streets. Visit the beautiful Ngoc Son Temple, set on a tiny island on Hoan Kiem Lake. Finally watch a water puppet show, a delightful performance of music, puppets and songs, before transferring back to your hotel.

Day 3: Hanoi – Hon  Gai Harbour – Bai Tu Long Bay – Thien Canh Son Cave (L,D).

Picking up at your hotel in Hanoi around 08:00 A.M then it takes us about 4 hour by van transferring to Hon Gai International Harbor. Check in the cruise then enjoy your lunch while cruising to magnificent BaiTu Long Bay; admire the fascinating formations on the way. Following, we go to explore the well- hidden ThienCanh Son Cave then you can enjoy relaxing on a white sandy beach at Hon CoIsland, swimming or kayaking. Finally,we are back to junk for refreshing before having dinner on board.

Day 4:  Vung Vieng Fishing Village – Hon Gai Harbor – Fly To Hue (B,L).

Having breakfast in the fresh air of the bay before visiting VungVieng fishing village by a rustic row-boat, meet the local peopleand pass through the floating school and fish farms. At 10:00 A.M, we check out of the cabin. Start cruising towards the harbor while an A la carte lunch is served. Upon on arrival at the harbor, we drive to the Noi Bai Airport for our flight to Hue. Upon on you arrival, you are welcomed by our driver then we have a short transfer to the hotel.

Day 5:  Hue City Tour (B,L)

Start your Hue city tour with a visit to the colourful Dong Ba market, which will energise your senses with its sights, sounds, and smells. This is the ideal place to soak up everyday Vietnamese life, and your local guide will show you to some of the traditional foods, and introduce you to the local vendors. Afterward, head out into the streets and wander over to the Citadel. It’s within these two metre-thick and 10 kilometre-long walls that you’ll find several of the city’s best sites, from the many ornate pagodas to the Forbidden Purple City. Explore the best of it all before stopping for a vegetarian lunch in a local pagoda. Enjoy a traditional meal and have the chance to chat with the monks to learn more about Buddhism and gain an insight into their daily lives. After lunch, our Hue tour continues with a short bus ride through the stunning surrounds, passing rice paddies and small towns, before arriving at a village that specialises in making incense. Learn all about this ancient art before continuing on to one of the impressive emperor’s tombs. We’ll then pay a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, a sprawling temple complex that is perched on a hill overlooking the Perfume River. After admiring its seven tiers, we’llhead to Tiger Arena, where duels between elephants and tigers were arranged for the entertainment of the Emperor right up until 1904. After a day taking in the many sights, end it with a relaxing afternoon cruise along the Perfume River. Take in the magic of this meandering river before ending ourHue tour back in the centre of the city.

Day 6: Hue – My Son – Hoi An (B,L)

After our breakfast we head south through coastal rice paddies and traverse the spectacular Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. En route we stop at My Son Temple, the very former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled central Vietnam between the second century and thirteenth century. We arrive in Hoi an around 3 pm, check in the hotel and relaxing.

Day 7: Village visits by bicycle and boat (B,L)

Cycle out into the countryside through rice paddies and arrive at the village of Tra Que, where you’ll be introduced to the history of the village. Later, return to Hoi An and board a river cruise to meet the local fishermen and enjoy the experience of river net fishing with the locals, before paddling a unique bamboo basket boat as you explore the area’s coconut palmed waterways.

Day 8: Fly to Saigon, explore the city (B)

Transfer to Danang Airport and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. This busy city is an interesting blend of old and new, east and west. In the afternoon, visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace and Old Post Office on a guided tour. Then visit the Ben Thanh market, a thriving food and clothes market.

Day 9: Insight Mekong Delta in one day (B,L)

Depart Saigon and travel down to Ben Tre. The boat will cruise along the Ham Luong river (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces including a brickworks, a salt refinery, a coconut processing workshop and a mat weaving house. The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, boarding your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) and stopping at a riverside restaurant for a delicious and filling lunch, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp. After lunch, it’s time to board a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow canals. You will back to the river to board your boat. Then, we will head back to Saigon.

Day 10: Half Day Cu Chi Tunnel Tour (B,L)

8:00- 8:30: Pick up at your hotel then we head to Cuchi, famous by a system of tunnels deeply underground, with 3floors, a labyrinth of intricate ways, and winding over 200 km long. (~60 km, 1hour). Upon arrival, we will watch a presentation video then getting to see the tunnels and discover how these tunnels were constructed and how its habitants combat two forces: the invading troops and the tunnels itself. The following, we will visit Hoang Cam’s smoke-less store, secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, and many dangerous booby traps.Trying gun shooting with real bullets (fees not included) as well tasting boiled tapioca, drinking hot tea before visiting a small rice paper factory where you can try to make it by yourself. Our tour ends at your hotel around 02:00 P.M

Day 11: Departure (B)

Today, you are free at your leisure until the time being transferred to the airport for your flight back home
